Nokia 6-Series Mobile Phones by Mike Tuffin

Of all of the mobile phone entities on the market today, the Nokia Corporation is one of the foremost device manufacturers. With a long history of telecommunication research and development, their product line has evolved into multiple series of phones, the 1-series, 2-series, 3-series, 5-series, 6-series, 7-series, 8-series, 9-series, E-series, and N-series. This wide selection may seem intimidating, and in fact, Nokia does offer close 100 devices, but the 6-series should be at the front of everyone's mind.

The 6-series by Nokia is otherwise known as the Classic Business Series and can be described as a mid-to-high range selection. This series offers many features, high-speed technologies, and network compatibility. Some examples of phones in this series are the 6300 and the upcoming 6600 slide.

Nokia 6300

The Nokia 6300 was released in 2006, but carries an impressive capability that is very much alive today. For starters, the phone has a candy bar form factor, with tri-band GSM supporting the 850, 1800, and 1900 frequencies. The screen resolution is 240 x 320 (QVGA) with 24-bit color. For the OS, this mobile operates on the series 40 platform, 3rd edition, service pack 2. Concerning battery life, this phone is supported by a 860 mAh lithium ion battery, with a 4.5 hour talk time and standby time of 348 hours/14.5 days. The Bluetooth support is great, 2.0 + EDR and A2DP stereo capabilities.

As for speed, this phone is a 2G model with EDGE support. To take advantage of this capability, the phone uses WAP 2.0 with XHTML and HTML. For email, this phone's client can use IMAP, SMTP, and POP to retrieve mail. Lastly, this phone has outstanding text messaging, with MMS functionality.

Not to be sold short on multimedia, the 6300 can play MP4, AAC, AAC+, MP4, MP3, WAV, and WMA. The phone will play 3GPP streaming video, and will even receive FM radio. For more multimedia, this phone has a 2.0 megapixel camera, and can capture video at 15 fps. To store all of this data, the phone has a microSD/TransFlash slot with a maximum size of 2 GB. Smaller cards are included with the phone, at the discretion of the provider.

Of all this wonderful functionality, the 6300 also backs itself up with J2ME support. J2ME is a Java implementation that allows users to install third-party applications on their phones. Google has a gmail application built on J2ME, for example, and various developers have built games and miscellaneous applications that can be installed.

Nokia 6600 Slide

The Nokia 6600 slide is a model to be released in Q3 2008, and is designed to followup the 6500 slide. Needless to say, this phone is a slider model, but has features that are significantly improved from the 6300 model. The main advantages of this phone are the 3G networking over UMTS, which allows for faster data transfer. The battery has been bumped up to 1000 mAh, but the overall operating times have remained the same due to the increased power consumption from the 3G. Lastly, this phone has an increased camera resolution, now at 3.2 megapixels, with auto focus and double flash.

The Al Khaleej Hotel in Dubai by Slavco Stefanoski

Vacationing in exotic regions of the world is a very exciting prospect. A prime example of a great hotel in a mysterious place is the Al Kahaleej Hotel Dubai. This establishment offers a realistic look at life in the Middle East. The hotel is clean and straightforward. There is nothing complex about the inn which is part of its charm.

The rooms are remarkably quiet even though the building is in a busy area. The Al Kahaleej Hotel Dubai is right in the heart of the city's business district making it the ideal location for people who are not familiar with the area. This district next to the Dubai hotel is brimming with interesting places to see.

The Al Kahaleej inn I close to restaurants that boast great food at very reasonable prices. You can enjoy the benefits of being very close to a public transportation station that offers buses and water taxis for unique travel experiences. Some may not want to go anywhere at first and simply enjoy the fine Italian restaurant located right inside the Al Kahaleej Hotel.

There are some things to keep in mind when preparing a visit to this region of the world. Customs and social norms should be observed and respected. This simply takes a little reservation and self control. There are also things to keep in mind while packing your bags for the Al Kahaleej Hotel Dubai as well.

The city of Dubai is actually liberal compared to other cities in this part of the world. However, this is relative to the area. Pack relatively conservative clothing that does not show too much skin. Shorts are fine when visiting the beach but it isn't appropriate for many other places.

Consider wearing the most conservative clothing that keeps you covered in mosques and museums. There are western-themed regions near the Al Kahaleej Hotel Dubai that are not so rigid about clothing. Don't worry about getting too hot. The air conditioning is unbelievably cold.

As a general rule, it is best to keep shoulders and midriffs covered. Avoid wearing shorts unless you are visiting the beach. Speaking of the beach in Dubai, remember to bring suntan lotion. This product isn't really popular in that region and it is remarkably expensive. Keep sunglasses with you during the day. You will need them.

Enjoying a stay at the Al Kahaleej Hotel Dubai is simple. This no frills inn offers so much in a clean, simplistic fashion that is conducive to a very relaxing stay.

software and hardware

New computers are always a hot selling item each year. There are so many choices out there these days, it is hard for the average user to determine which bells and whistles are needed and which would be better left alone. The biggest decision for the buyer would be which platform to go with. The two main choices being a Windows based machine (PC) and Apple based platform (Mac).

For the longest time, Windows based PC has dominated the home user market, with Mac only making up a small percentage of the market. This was mostly due to that software selection for the Mac was far less than what was being offered for PC’s. As sales for the Mac grew, so did software support for them, therefore making them as mainstream and as practical as the PC’s. Now that they are as mainstream or even trendy, will a Mac work for what you are going to need it for?

For the majority of home computer users, there are a limited number of uses that will be required of the computer whether it be a Mac or PC. Most users will be using the computer for such things as surfing the Internet, emailing friends or family, storing images and videos, and perhaps keeping track of appointments and financial information. So with that being said, there is nothing that was mentioned that a Mac would not be able to do that a PC could accomplish. Software wise, currently, it is rare to have a software program that is only offered for the PC based machine. The majority of software titles are offered for both the PC and Mac platform. So emailing, keeping in touch with friends and family, and even creating word documents and spread sheets on the popular Microsoft Office would not be an issue.

With the Mac, it could be taken a step further with the software that is offered from Apple to compliment the Mac. Apple’s iLife suite for the Mac is definitely a must for any Mac user out there. From iPhoto for storing and organizing your digital photos to Garage Band to unleash your inner rock star, they have produced a winner for any home user. Throw in iWeb for creating your own personal web space on the Internet, iMovie for putting a little extra pizzazz to those home movies or iDVD for making your own DVD’s and you have the complete software package. Also, one software package that you not have to worry about as a Mac user is the anti-virus and spy ware packages. Unlike a PC, Macs are immune to spy ware and viruses, thereby eliminating the need for such programs like Norton Antivirus or MacAfee Antivirus.

When it comes to hardware, again owning a Mac may prove to be easier than with a PC. As everyone who has ever owned a PC knows, searching for that driver to get that new piece of hardware to work has never been as easy as “plug and play”. And if that was not enough already, throw in a different operating system and you are sure to end up with a headache or two.

So if you are looking for a new computer, it might be worth a look to at least take a look at what a Mac has to offer. For years, people have been scared to take a look at Macs, but these days, it would be wise not to. It will still come down to personal preference, since both will do all of your emailing, surfing the Internet, or organizing those precious photos of the family equally well.

What Is The Recommended Format For Free Audio Book Titles? by Mike Selvon

Listening to audio books has become a very popular way for folks to keep up with their "reading," even when they don't have a moment in the day to relax in a chair and pick up a book. While "books on tape" is a rather outdated medium, music books on CD and in MP3 format are constantly becoming more popular. The MP3s have the advantage of being cheaper to produce and there are more free audio book titles available as downloadable MP3s.

However, not everyone who in enamored of audio books on their MP3 player or in their CD player is stressed for time. Many people prefer to multi-task, and music books are a wonderful way to do that and to maximize the usage of their time. But, whether they are seeking out music books because of time constraints or just due to preferences, they all agree that free audio book titles can make their day.

An audiobook player is usually a portable device and there are versions to play all three types of the aforementioned audio book formats. Of the three formats, the cassette tape is fading out of the marketplace and it can even be difficult to find "books on tape" these days. But, if you have a good cassette player and prefer this format, then there are free and cheap audio book cassettes available if you ask around.

There are several websites that encourage people to post their items that they no longer want or use so that other people who want them can get them for free. There are many music book titles available this way, both as audio books on CD and on cassette tape.

One of the main purposes of these sites is to keep people from throwing things away so that they don't end up in a landfill. One of the biggest organized groups of this type is "Free Cylcle" and there are many types of items that people are giving away every single day.

Because an MP3 audio book is a completely electronic file, and does not have to be copied onto a physical device, such as a CD or tape, in order to be distributed, this is the least expensive type of recorded books on the market. As a result, there are more free audio book titles to choose from in MP3 audio book format than in the other two formats. The only expense is the MP3 audio book player; yet if you don't mind listening to the music book on your computer, then you do not even need that.

There are also many websites that offer free audio book MP3s, so you can enjoy recorded books that cover just about every topic you can think of. On some of these sites, you simply search and download MP3 audio book selections as much as you like. Other sites will require you to register before you can download any of their files, and still others offer paid memberships and usually have an even greater selection from which you can choose.

Angelina Jolie Hairstyle: A Hollywood Analysis by Paul Jones

The shape of the face is the most fundamental feature that will determine the most flattering hairstyle. It is not the ears, eyes, or the lips that will help a woman determine the best haircut for her. This means that if a woman has prominent pouting lips, it does not automatically allow her to copy the Angelina Jolie hairstyle. Lips can be factored in later to resolve little details of the hairstyle. But the shape of the lips is not the deal breaker, not even for the Angelina Jolie hairstyle.

Angelina Jolie’s unique face shape
Most hair stylists would insist that there are only few basic face shapes, and these are the heart, the diamond, the oblong, the round, the oval, and the square. Unfortunately, in the real world, an individual person’s face shape could not be easily categorized.

Most faces are combinations of two or more of these basic shapes. And the shape of Angelina Jolie’s face is a great example. Luckily, the Angelina Jolie hairstyle in 2008, as seen in the movies “Wanted” and “Changeling,” was able to bring out the best of her unique face shape.

What is Angelina Jolie’s face shape? Due to her “strong woman” roles that began in the Tomb Raider movies, it is easy to magnify her strong jaw line and assume that she has a square face. But Angelina Jolie also has the classic features of a high forehead and high cheekbones that make other people believe that she has an oval face shape. This is not exactly correct. The length of the oval face should be 1 ½ times longer than the width measured at the cheekbones. Angelina Jolie’s face does not quite meet this criterion. Her face is wider than the normal oval face.

Oval faces can get away with many hairstyles, including angular bobs and blunt bangs. Angelina Jolie could not get away with bangs. This is why no Angelina Jolie hairstyle will include bangs that cover the entire forehead. It would make her face look wider, and the effect would be utterly appalling. There should be no Egyptian princess hairstyles for Angelina Jolie.

Picking the right length and texture for Angelina Jolie’s hairstyles
With the ratio of the length and width of her face, Angelina Jolie’s face shape is a combination of oval and square. Combined face shapes are tricky to style, but Angelina Jolie’s hairstyle manages her face with flying colors. Since the upper part of her face is dominantly oval, all Angelina Jolie’s hairstyles ensure that nothing covers the forehead, except for the occasional side-swept bangs. And since the lower part of her face is dominantly square, all Angelina Jolie hairstyles have soft waves. The strictly square face, such as that of Demi Moore, can get away with boyish short cuts. Angelina Jolie’s hairstyles should not follow suit. For example, Angelina Jolie tried short hair in 1995 in the movie Hackers. It was not flattering.

The shortest Angelina Jolie hairstyle is the one that she sported in the movie Changeling. The hairstyle, of course, is utterly feminine with its wild abundant curls. The curls, with their free movement, throws soft shadows on her square jaw line. With this in mind, all of Angelina Jolie hairstyles have bodies that tend to curl. But is it always necessary to have curls that can soften the jaw line? One Angelina Jolie hairstyle that does not have curls covering the jaw line was in Tomb Raider. But remember that she has two thick strands of hair falling in front of her left face that diverted attention from her square jaw.

Angelina Jolie’s hairstyle compliments face shapes that are combinations of oval and square. The open hairstyles and absence of bangs accentuate the eyes and flaunt the best features of the forehead and cheeks. The curls and the longer hair lengths soften the square jaw line. And since the face belongs to Angelina Jolie, with the famous pouting lips and mysterious cat-like eyes, the effect the hairstyle is that of a confident and sensual woman.
